If you're using the Live version of DSL, ndiswrapper's memory
allocation problem may come from DSL's "ramdisk". DSL allocates a fair
amount of RAM for a virtual "hard disk" to temporarily store the
filesystem hierarchy needed for linux to run when not installed to the
actual hard drive. It might be hindering the allocation of clean RAM
for other things like ndiswrapper, but that's just a guess. ;)
