Congratulations on your presentation David :) I've watched this thread with interest as one of my clients is also a PC manufacturer exploring the options of offering Linux on the desktop to government and business clients, possibly even retail. As you found out, demonstrating Linux can come with many pitfalls for those who have not showcased it too much before. I would strongly recommend not being backward in coming forward and seeking support for a future presentation with one or two of your local friendly OSAI[1] member companies.
