I know www.pioneercomputers.com.au have an "Ubuntu" option on most of their laptops models, you will have to click on the "Build Your Own" button once you have selected the general model your after.
Also: 1. Search the SLUG archives, some linux-friendly hardware providers mentioned on the list in the past. 2. If you want the Dell computer, it's the Dimension E520N, I bought the E520 in their mid-year sale last week and as far as they could tell it's the same hardware only without Ubuntu pre-installed. You might even have the option to buy it without paying the MS tax (I bought Windows XP to install on my old computer for my wife). 3. Welcome aboard - SLUG meets every last Friday of the month, details for next meeting are available at: http://slug.org.au/node/75 and http://slug.org.au/taxonomy_menu/4/21 Cheers, --Amos -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
