AFAIK the EeePC has three USB ports and an SD slot, which you can use for 
storage increases and communications expansions (e.g. a 3G mobile module, 
Bluetooth adaptor or USB-serial connector).

It seems that most people don't care much for a serial port or PSTN modem 
anymore :(
