Hi all,
I will be taking over convening an undergraduate course that is a first year introduction to web design. I have been asked to update to html5, however I was only able to find 1 text book that focuses on html5 and despite the fact that I can order the book online from a number of websites, the book rep insists its not in print. I am forced to go through the normal channels so the book is simply not an option. So my question is, can anyone recommend a good text book, not just a "good book" but a good "text book" on html5 ? The book I "was" looking at was "Basics of Web Design, HTML5 CSS3" Oh, and I know that some (maybe most) may believe its too early to be teaching html5, but that is what has been requested, so any debate on whether html5 should be used, wont help (but feel free to discuss, it just wont answer the post). Also, by moving to html5, I have permission to remove the current IE requirement, so Firefox, chromium whatever can be used to develop.
