Chris, thanks hmmmmm... I can now telnet OK, to both 127.0.0.1 ... and localhost.. like it worked at first... all work OK(1): BUT, I can not telnet to policyd on 10031, getting same 'telnet gets tied up, can't quit till process killed': # telnet localhost 10031 Trying ::1... telnet: connect to address ::1: Connection refused Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. after I shut down policyd, shell returns (1) - this now works # telnet localhost smtp Trying ::1... telnet: connect to address ::1: Connection refused Trying 127.0.0.1... Connected to localhost. Escape character is '^]'. 220 ... -- SLUG - Sydney Linux User's Group Mailing List - http://slug.org.au/ Subscription info and FAQs: http://slug.org.au/faq/mailinglists.html
