Hi Everyone ,
I have been feeling uneasy after reading about police going
after anime downloaders after complaints from a company , which I shall not
mention.
First , let me say that I have nothing against the fact that
people are getting into trouble for breaking the law. However , I do have
trouble with the fact that companies are using , or abusing , the law to
cover their incompetent skills in the technology.
Any companies that does not adept to changing technology
should and must shrink and die. It has been true since the beginning of the
industrial revolution. Thank about how many car companies were there when
Henry Ford started his company and later using assembly lines to mass produce
cars , and how many left after 10 or 20 years? What about how many IT
companies were there in 70s and 80s that never made it to now ?
In a state where the law is becoming a safe haven for
money-grabbing , incompetent managers/ceos running technologically obsoleted
companies is a place , I fear , that does not encourage or has a place for
innovation. The question I want to ask the list is that is Singapore becoming
one such state to live in?
