Money was never the issue in the contents. iTunes store is one such example.
The plain fact is that people buy from it. People are willing to spend money.
In fact , if they have download website for anime series that we like , lets
say one day later than Japan , I would be willing to pay for that kind of
service.

Its the medium of distribution thats the problem in most people eye not the
content itself or for that matter. Most fansubs have their own ads btw. So
its not ads or no ads. How they make money is not my problem. I want it and I
want it the way thats I am familiar/happy with. I am willing customer so they
should serve it my way or the highway. Imagine Toyota sells cars like
EMI/Sony sells CDs ... you can have manual only... take it or leave it.. and
there will be no other vendors other than Toyota.

Worldwide ? No way! There are tons of countries that has not signed anything
with US or Japan. Thats the problem with the law and the net. Law are mostly
local yet the problem is global. Most or all fansubs are from outside
Singapore. Why not go after those guys ? For that matter , why not force ISPs
to ban their websites ???? This is not solving the problem. It is more or
less FUDs by companies and the government.
