Did you even try any of our other suggestions? Usually when something doesn't work, we try alternatives. I (and some other) suggested the usage of ftp://mirror.pacific.net.au/debian for Debian. If that does not work to, please give us some concrete stuffs to analyse. For example, I'm not sure what do you mean but 'doesn't seem to be working'. Is it that you can't access the server (improbable, you should at least be able to access the server; otherwise, your problem will be with NIC/network setup) or whether you can't get specific packages (in which case, try alternatives, pacnet definitely have all packages).
