Yes, it's true that as long as you know what you want it for, the
newer model can be overkill and the old one just fine.

I had a bit of a jolt this weekend, when I told an acquaintance about
the Eee, and she made up her mind to buy one on the spot. Tried it,
liked it, put down the cash. Personally I always agonize for several
weeks before buying something new and read all the specs 10 times.

Unfortunately now I'm in the firing line for tech support. Do any of
you know a shop at Sim Lim or Funan, or any other tech support outfit,
that could help get a Eee online via a bluetooth GPRS/EDGE modem?
Sounds like this is what she's using now. I want to get out of the
firing line ;-p
