Yes, I think the Eee makes you reflect on what you actually want it for. Normally I just want as much as I can get for my money: maximum screen, storage, CPU; I want to use it to run servers, compile the kernel, store all my music. However with the Eee (unless you're hacking for the sake of it) you realise you're going to email and chat, write some docs, play frozen bubble, and store everything on USB drive or online.
