BTW, if you have the Hard Disk Space and RAM, you can encourage your students still using Windows to experiment by installing linux in virtual environments (using VirtualBox, VMWare, etc.). This is a very pain-free way to trying out different distributions (Fedora, Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.) and allowing them to discover the distribution that best meets their needs/likes.
