Hi.
pam-devel was already installed but pam_slurm.so was not build....
Try to search something about pam in ./configure output.
After installing ncurses-devel and gtk2-devel both smap and sview were
build.
Thanks for the help,
Uwe

Hi all,
Hi,
I'm new to slurm.
I built slurm with
./configure --prefix=/opt/system/slurm/14.03.3
--with-munge=/opt/system/munge/0.5.11 --enable-pam
make
make install
and recognized that smap and sview are not installed:
You are possibly missing development libraries for ncurses/gtk2/pam in
your system, for example, in Centos relevant packages are pam-devel,
gtk2-devel and ncurses-devel.
# pwd
/opt/system/slurm/14.03.3/bin
# ls

scancelᅵᅵ sdiagᅵ sprio sreportᅵ sshareᅵ

sacctmgrᅵ sattachᅵ sbcastᅵ scontrolᅵ sinfoᅵ
squeue srunᅵᅵᅵᅵ sstat
Do I have to build smap and sview by hand? Is it only useful on
certain types of clusters like BlueGene or Cray? (If so this should
be
reflected in the documentation.)
Additionally it seems that the PAM module is not build by the
Makefile. Is this intended behavior? I can understand that you
refrain
from installing the PAM module because the installation destination
might not be the same on all systems but I'd expect the module to be
built when I explicitly configure Slurm to use PAM.
