Hi Nick ,

Any update on how you would like to conduct the event ? Are the dates finalized
yet ? I'll be glad to help you out but we would need some kind of a
confirmation from your side to get the arrangements done .

Regards,
Pranav

[Nick] - I think the first question is what sort of event do we think will work
best in Bangalore, given the limited time until the event with which to get the
word out. One option might be a BarCamp (un-conference style event with lots of
~30 minute talks), another is to host a hackathon day (where we get people
together to code, bug fix, test and document), or finally we could perhaps do a
hybrid (eg talks in the morning, coding in the
afternoon)

Do you (or anyone else here!) have any thoughts on what might work best?

[Pranav] - I reckon , not many people would be interested in fixing bugs . May
be we can have small talks on various projects and then a small event from the
CloudStack perspective on how well integrated is the CloudStack architecture
and what modifications people want to bring in to make it even more scalable ?
May be a small hands on session on some of the popular tools used in CloudStack
like Cloudmonkey or DevCloud or how could one use the UI plugin architecture
to integrate his own application to build a customized CloudStack UI.

I'll probably ask for more suggestions from the co organizers for the recently
held CloudStack events in Bangalore.

[nick] - Great, sounds like we can be sure of quite a bit of cloudstack
material at the event! Any other projects strongly present in Bangalore?

[Pranav] - I am not very sure about what other apache projects have been
strongly worked on in Bangalore. Need to survey on this .

Copying few co-organizers here who might be able to help us here. We can spread
the word though by posting it on the cloudstack meet up groups/forums on
linkedIn/facebook etc. Just to give you some statistics about the last
CloudStack User meet up we had here , approximately 50 people attended the
event live , 147 people registered for the webinar since it was not a hand's on
session but more of presentations and demos.

Pranav

Great news!

The reason I suggested the weekend of the 30th/31st March is because I'll be in
Bangalore then. I have lots of experience of helping run smaller events, but
don't know much about the Bangalore open source scene, so the help of people
like you will be invaluable!
