Any update on how you would like to conduct the event ?

It's sounding like a whole day event, with BarCamp style talks for much of the day, and a bit of coding at the end might work best. If we're able to snag somewhere with more than one room, that might even let us run the talks all day, and allow those interested in a hackathon / coding / bug fixing / etc to break off after lunch

Are the dates finalized yet ?

Either Saturday 30th or Sunday 31st March were the provisional plan. (Probably only one of them though, try doing a one day event first, then spread out to two days if it works!). I'm told that some people will be away that weekend, but others might appreciate something interesting to do then. Assuming that's what everyone else thinks, I'd suggest we pick whichever day works best for a venue

I'll be glad to help you out but we would need some kind of a confirmation from your side to get the arrangements done .

Getting a venue lined up is the main thing. Once we have a venue sorted, we can announce the date and start getting people to sign up :)

For a BarCamp to work, we need a space where everyone can fit in, so we can do the introductions / explain how the day will work / do the scheduling. After that, several smaller rooms are fine, as people will split up between sessions (assuming we have the space and the numbers to run multiple in parallel).

Might you be able to find a suitable spot for this?

Nick
