I have 2 units down right now that have been up for weeks and I know a
simple reboot will bring it back online. Have it in the firmware where
it will reboot 3 times thats it. If it doesnt come back after 3 times
you know there is a bigger problem than just a lockup. If it is a real
hard thing to do then I can understand it. But if it's not that big of a
deal to put this option in there and make it optional then it would be a
great solution for some of these mystery problems.

Please consider adding this option.

It just looks better for it to fix itself than to have to call the
user(or then call me) so that I can tell them to power cycle the unit.
