Are you refering to the old one with 50ft cable or the one with weatherproof connector on 1 foot cable? If new one, when you cut off the end, does the weatherproof connector still in use or not.

No . . .the cable coming out of the ABO.  Sometimes I have to cut off the end so I can get away with drilling a smaller hole into the building, then I recrimp it and plug it into the Powershot.

I have about 30 of the S/B's radios running 24/7. Have not skipped a beat in months other than an interference problem once or twice. No horror stories here. I have some of all of them out there. Even some indoor units in plastic boxes outdoor. Joe
