don't forget that the gain on a sector is the HIGHEST gain and the
coverage degree indicate where the antanna gain from the sector have
dropped 3dB.

But a 10dB is always 10dB.
Sectors are better because they tend to give you say 12dB gain at main
lobe and 9dB at their perimiters and can be downtilted a 12dB omni
will give you 12dB all around but it's pattern will be so flat and you
can not downtilt it.
