That�s a question I asked when this whole thing started on other threads and direct to SB support and not once have they answered it.. Mac addresses are long this date code method works much better. Who wants to sit and read a mac address with x amount of #'s or just look on the unit with a date code sticker that has 2 characters? it was just a suggestion from someone who has seen this exact situation before and thought I would give some input..
