ideally you'd be running this from a dos prompt if it's windows, unix a little more versitile when it comes to a monitoring machine in my opinion.. i not totally familiar with alot of the windows stuff being all unix here!

try doing:
 
snmpwalk hostname community  DO I type this in a command prompt within the mrtg folder like the other commands??
 
 
see if it outputs something..
 
also, did you install the snmpd service on the windows box?
 
snmpwalk should be there, i know on unix installs it is

I loaded per the instructions and this is what I get when trying to run from the command prompt per the instructions, am I doing something wrong??
 
 
Win 2000 machine
2 nic cards one public IP one private for simple monitor etc.
No web server software on this machine just the basic windows install do I need IIS install too?
