Accurate RSSI values are very important for establishing reliable connections. We need to know the quality of the link (in dBm) when doing site surveys, antenna alignments, link trouble shooting, etc. Please SB find a way to make these readings right.

Why would we specify the db value???
We just need to know what it REALLY is so we can compare measured to calculated values!

Typically the Base Band Processor which is heart of Radio gives out the values in the range of 0-40 which indicates the RSSI values.
These RSSI values from Base Band ( 0-40 ) are converted on the scale of 0-100 % to show the % Values.
The Internal formula is used to convert the RSSI in % to RSSI in dBm, these values are typically shown in the Client Info and Link Status tab.
The new simpleMonitor for airPointPRO and the not yet released for airBridge allows you to modify the RSSI Values shown in dBm to suit your requirements using this option.
If you want your specific values to be shown in there, please store them in the table as shown and set the option as "User Defined" and Click "Save Table" button. Please make sure that you are keying in all the values.
With Best Regards,

Hey Smartbridges,
Any word on the dbm signal strength readings?

This is obviously wrong, since the highest I have ever seen with a PCMCIA
card and a pigtail is -50 or so.
