LOL! I would be laughing harder, but, I was driving (scouting towers) in the area south of us, and I saw 2 bran spanking new Water towers. drove up to them (to see if they had contact info) and saw they were still being painted and coated, they were still under construction! Anyways, they workers had the tallest ladders I've ever seen! they are 40' ladders, with extensions! they can telescope up to 60'. And, they got them from Lowes (a big home improvement store around here) of all places!

Reminded me of that picture where the ladders were all stacked up on that truck to get to a light bulb on a street light... :)

I understand everyone point.   I'm new to the WISP business, not to PtP links or wireless in general, but just the WISP portion.  Now, you give me a 2000 or 2003 server, CIsco router, VPN, IPsec question.  I will be all over it.

So, for those who have answered my tower questions, thanks a bunch. Your questions was insightful as well as imforative.  I was hoping to get some more info on who you guys contacted to get space on watertowers.  Think I have one every 10 miles here!      I called the Water District and they say its a public works, thing and vise versa. My e-mail is [EMAIL PROTECTED] if someone would like to help out.

And for those who, don't want anything but smartbridge tech talk, I understand and apologize for the incovience.  But if you do have a question, IP config, routers, VPN stuff like that, let me know.  I get over 500 bucks month for a 1meg IPsec connection, plus the 150 a month of 512k of internet at two locations :) so, IPsec is a good business!  heehe
