Just a thought (I'm still catching up with the list). Are you sure that your maxrad 14dB antenna is mounted for vertical polarity? What polarity is the ant I am assuming V pol since you are using the mobile omni I would seriously do a site survey to see what's in the area causing possible interference. I have been using a AirBridge Outdoor plus a 7db omni mag mount from Pac Wireless and a 19db grid from Pac to test for signal.  But it really stinks when I don't even know if my signal from the tower is getting to me..  The only thing I have is SimpleMonitor, which takes some time to assoicate sometimes.   Dennis
