1. NEVER NEVER try it on the clients computer first. 2. Use YOUR own laptop even if you don�t have one BUY one its a necessity and can be purchased cheap you don�t need the best one and you can get used ones VERY cheap!
3. Quit wasting time trying to fix their crap (sorry) I hope you are charging EXTRA for the time you spent cleaning their virus woes and fixing other NON broadband caused or related issues. I charge MIN $50 per hour to computer trouble shooting. 4. You say it will not associate, don�t use anything other then why you plan to use I don�t use the Linksys or D-link stuff NOTHING but problems. 5. Can you see your AP your trying to associate to in the window that shows available access points within simple monitor? if not you probably have SSID view OFF in the AP sometimes I turn it on for testing purposes. You should also be able to tell if there is any interference. 6. Make sure you set BSSID to all zero's this way if you ever change out the AP it associates to just the name of the SSID not the MAC of the old AP. Lets start with this and see where we go.
