We have four APPOs on the water tower with enough separation to not have any interference issues - it is a very large water tower. Here is the layout: channel 4 on northwest side, channel 8 on northeast side, channel 1 on south east side, and channel 11 on southwest side. All of them have cat-5 outdoor, gel filled running back to the NEMA box where their POEs are plugged into the D-Link switch and the UPS. Our Trango 5.8 backhaul is on the northwest side with its cat-5 running back to the same D-Link switch and UPS. So the D-Link is the connection between the APPOs and our NOC through the Trango backhaul. Right this minute, I have three APPOs up and running with four customers associated, two on one unit, and one on each of the other two. Channel 8 is down now. Channel 11 is the one that has been flaky since day one, but it seems to be up for the moment, since we replaced the POE, APPO, and power supply.
