Tom, Kevin, Dennis, Seeni, Thanks for the input! I'm using a Maxrad MSO24014PTNF sectorized omni spec'd at 14dBi gain. I've got 1 APPO connected to it right now. I have 2 more that I'd like to put on to increase the range. First, I'll add one APPO and terminate the other port of the splitter. Then I'll add the 3rd APPO. I'm trying to reach a few customers just slightly out of signal range due to obstructions. I'll keep you posted on the results. Kind regards, Sevak On Thu, 2003-09-04 at 14:42, Kevin Proctor wrote: I’m not Seeni, but can answer that. It is not really a third, either. One antenna will get almost half with the other two getting almost 25% each. This is due to the way a power splitter works. You can split power roughly in halves, quarters, eighths, etc. A 3 Way splitter splits the signal in half, then splits one of those halves in half. This is the simplest and least expensive way to do it. |
