Here is how the network is laid out now.

Sorry Pascal and the rest for the repeat.

With this arrangement The client can reach the internet, but the dlink can no longer be managed.

Gentlefolks,
it is Halloween Morning I will run this test and let you know the results. I did connect a DLink 704P (Was laying around here) and the setup worked. A little thinking might fix this situation as I would not like to open my system to the internet this way.

That would indicate that the firewall is upset some how by the MAC NAT. Im not sure why this would be, though.

That setup should work. However I had a similar problem with reaching the Internet on IP-Cop with the arangement below.

1. Internet

2. IP-Cop Firewal/Gateway

3. Ethernet

4. airBridge

5. Airpoint Pro Outdoor - set in AP Mode

6. airBridge

7. Client Network

It would ping IP-Cop local and Internet interfaces but not the Internet. The solution was to replace 4. airBridge with airPoint in Client Bridge mode;

1. Internet

2. IP-Cop Firewal/Gateway

3. Ethernet

4. Airpoint Pro Outdoor - set in Client Bridge mode

5. Airpoint Pro Outdoor - set in AP Mode

6. airBridge

7. Client Network

Regards,
Wayland.

Hi Carl,

If you are able to ping to the Mandrake Firewall/Gateway means, it shouldnt be any problem in the wireless link. Please verify the DNS & GW entries in your PC and PING using the GW and DNS IP address from the client PC. If still unable to pass the traffic to the internet or outside the firewall, then please check the firewall policy settings.

Thank you

Kind regards,

Seeni

I can ping and surf within my private network (10.0.0.0). I cannot ping and surf outside in the public area. I already have a Wavebolt system running for local work on the same network.

Hi Carl,

From the DWL 900AP + when you operate in a wireless client mode and you try to associate to the repeater, are you able to ping the aPPO in repeater mode and get a response?

I have two Airpoint Pro and one Dlink 900ap+

I would like to start a microcell with them. Below is what I think must be done.

1. Internet

2. Mandrake Firewal/Gateway

3. Fiber to watertower

4. Airpoint Pro Outdoor - set in AP Mode

5. Airpoint Pro Outdoor - set in Repeater Mode

6. DWL 900AP+ - set in Wireless Client Mode

7. Client Network

Right now in this test setup I cannot reach the Internet. Although nthe same Gateway is handling other traffic.
