Hey, Sully,
If a sales guy like me can build a Linux box, then so can you. What I
like the best is that you can take those "junk" Pentium boxes and make
them useful again. I have the firewall for the home network, complete
with content filtering, URL filtering, a "red zone" for web servers to
keep them separated from the rest of the network, and several other
whiz-bang-neato-keen things all running on an old Pentium 90 box that a
friend thought they were "unloading" on me. A P233? I'd build an email
server out of that in a heartbeat!
IMHO, Linux is tons easier to set up than Win2K Server ever was.

Roll up your sleeves and bite the bullet, Sully.
Get a Linux box ;)
It's not as scary as it seems. I'm sure there are lots of guys and gals
on
the list that will help you set it up for a modest fee (or maybe even
for
free). I'm getting ready to set up my 3rd box (replacing my 2nd --which
is
a lowly P2 233 running backup DNS, backup DHCP & MRTG on *ALL* my CPEs,
APs and border router), and I'm doing this one all by myself. I'm sure
my
Linux mentor will slap my hand a couple of times with the newbie
mistakes
I'm about to make, but hey.. it's all fun and games, right? Once all
the
dirty work is done, it's just a matter of tweaking a few .conf files
every
once in a while.
Lots of neat stuff a Linux box can do that WinNT won'nt (hey! Just
noticed that "winnt" looks a lot like "wont")
