At the base of the point to point we have the primary port set in
Ethernet and at the tower it is in wireless.  That is for the point to
point, and the other 3 APPO's at the tower are set in Ethernet for the
primary port.

What port do you have set as primary port ? I would assume the
ethernet.. If you check out the manual you will find out a few very
important things about the primary port.
