My experience at my previous job a few years ago, echoed by the systems 
architecture and operations teams at my current job, is that you are likely to 
come to grief by sharing a "real" port with an iLO (thus relying on an internal 
switch on the BMC) and that best practices are to eat the relatively minor 
inconvenience of a separate cable and switch port in exchange for less 
frustration.

What's the G8 Microserver use?  bge ?  My N40L is turned off and at a friend's 
house, in preference the the DL160G6 I have in the basement right now...  which 
has igbs.
