My experience at my previous job a few years ago, echoed by the systems architecture and operations teams at my current job, is that you are likely to come to grief by sharing a "real" port with an iLO (thus relying on an internal switch on the BMC) and that best practices are to eat the relatively minor inconvenience of a separate cable and switch port in exchange for less frustration. > I really wish HP used Intel NICs... What's the G8 Microserver use? bge ? My N40L is turned off and at a friend's house, in preference the the DL160G6 I have in the basement right now... which has igbs. -r ------------------------------------------- smartos-discuss Archives: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/=now RSS Feed: https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/rss/184463/25769125-55cfbc00 Modify Your Subscription: https://www.listbox.com/member/?member_id=25769125&id_secret=25769125-7688e9fb Powered by Listbox: http://www.listbox.com
