I've been picking up SLC drives from eBay, STEC, Intel, etc, so far so
good, they've been rockstars. I really tend to shy away from MLC.
Downside of SLC is it's kind of slow by comparison, still 2X or 3X
faster than a spinner drive, so whatever.

No trim yet, but if you only partition/slice about 70-80% total
capacity, the remainder gets used for garbage collection and
performance remains high and they last much longer.
