I have tested the Kingston HyperX Predator SSD HHHL PCIe 240GB on SmartOS.
It was detected and usable without any problem.

It can be a superfast device for caching and log device.
But unfortunality my server (HP) increases the fan speed as soon as
something is plugged into the PCIe slots so I can't use the Predator in my
home server.

I would like to test it in our server inside the datacentre, but before that
I need some advice on how to CORRECTLY partition this device.
I am very curious about system performance when this SSD thingie is
installed, since we have 16x 300GB in ZFS RAID installed.

I assume that you would still recommend against using SSDs without power
 fail protection for log devices?
