Geographic area is not of huge concern.... mid-west I suppose, Iowa to
Ohio, Michigan to Louisiana.  Currently OVH is out of Canada near New York,
so a half-dozen milliseconds one way or the other isn't a big deal.

# of Servers: I'd like to start small before going all in.  A headnode plus
3-5 compute nodes I suppose.
Hands on is not of huge importance, but if it were I'd say "Indianapolis"
to the first question which I'm sure really limits my options.
It doesn't need to be tested server configurations, I'll take the
responsibility of making sure that what is offered is compatible-enough.

I'll check out Switch Supernap, thanks for that.

And finally, yes I did look at the Joyent Public cloud, and its pricing.
It's well above the per-VM pricing we're able to accomplish with Proxmox
running at OVH.  Multiply that times a few hundred web servers, and we'd be
out of business running on the JPC.
