Hi, OS-5663 smartos-live gmake clean needs to clobber illumos (https://smartos.org/bugview/OS-5663) just went back. For those of you who are building smartos-live, this means that gmake clean / gmake clobber should generally do the right thing and not result in maddening build failures in illumos.
I know this has been a pain point for many folks, sorry it's lasted so long. I'll be trying to revamp the build instructions in the coming weeks to be a bit more useful and thorough.
