Good evening Robert, My apologies on the emailing the daily digest list. That was an accident.
Also the reason I’m not running the latest SmartOS is because I’m still using project fifo at the moment and I’ve updated to their latest supported SmartOS image. We are planning a migration to Tritan but for the moment I’m still using fifo. The GZ NIC driver is: 234 fffffffff82ad000 3cb48 185 1 igb (Intel 1Gb Ethernet) The host is a Sunfire X4170 M2 and the igb0-3 interfaces are in an LACP L3_L4 active aggregation aggr0. Sent by John Barfield <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> at Tue, 15 Nov 2016 13:47:06 +0000 Good morning Robert, I was finally able to update to a newer SmartOS platform and the issue happened again promptly this morning. The bug https://smartos.org/bugview/HVM-824 says that it was fixed in July of 2015 and I am using: joyent_20160609T010930Z as of last night. I’ve placed the core here if you would like to download it and analyze: http://download.txtelecom.net/core.qemu-system-x86_.9163.tgz Here is the quick output of the Core stack from MDB ‘$C’: fffffd7fffded030 libc.so.1`_lwp_kill+0xa() fffffd7fffded060 libc.so.1`raise+0x20(6) fffffd7fffded0b0 libc.so.1`abort+0x98() fffffd7fffded140 vnic_receive_iov+0x2fc(f6c2e0, fffffd7fffdf53b0, 2) fffffd7fffded1e0 qemu_vlan_deliver_packet_iov+0xe0(182b10410, 0, fffffd7fffdf53b0, 2, f671c0) fffffd7fffded270 qemu_net_queue_deliver_iov+0x72(f67200, 182b10410, 0, fffffd7fffdf53b0, 2) fffffd7fffded300 qemu_net_queue_send_iov+0x92(f67200, 182b10410, 0, fffffd7fffdf53b0, 2, 4edb21) fffffd7fffded370 qemu_sendv_packet_async+0xbe(182b10410, fffffd7fffdf53b0, 2, 4edb21) fffffd7fffdf93f0 virtio_net_flush_tx+0x19b(1810abc10, 182b0f050) fffffd7fffdf9430 virtio_net_tx_timer+0x8f(1810abc10) fffffd7fffdf9480 qemu_run_timers+0xb0(f62620) fffffd7fffdf9490 qemu_run_all_timers+0x51() fffffd7fffdff520 main_loop_wait+0x480(0) fffffd7fffdff550 kvm_main_loop+0x119() fffffd7fffdff570 main_loop+0x17() fffffd7fffdff8b0 main+0x2da4(30, fffffd7fffdff8d8, fffffd7fffdffa60) fffffd7fffdff8c0 _start+0x6c() Re: [smartos-discuss] KVM VM Crashing, Core analysis Help ?<https://www.listbox.com/member/archive/184463/2016/09/20160923172905:BDC77396-81D4-11E6-8584-7C88EF10038B> Sent by Robert Mustacchi <[email protected]<mailto:[email protected]>> at Fri, 23 Sep 2016 14:28:53 -0700 On 9/21/16 8:33 , John Barfield wrote: > Hi Robert any update on the core I posted? It seems to most likely be related to https://smartos.org/bugview/HVM-824. Though without the core file itself, I can't confirm. Regardless, as I mentioned last time, you should definitely be updating your platform image.
