Hi Brian

Thanks for the reply.

[admin@fs ~]$ /usr/bin/ldapsearch -b dc=fukr,dc=org,dc=uk -h java.fukr.org.uk
-V 3 -D uid=admin,ou=system -w mypassword '(objectClass=posixAccount)' uid

version: 1

dn: uid=neil,ou=users,dc=fukr,dc=org,dc=uk

uid: neil

dn: uid=kev,ou=users,dc=fukr,dc=org,dc=uk

uid: kev

The above seems to work as expected. And so does /opt/local/bin/ldapsearch.
