Sure.  And if you had said "Let's have a vote, this isn't (or may not
necessarily be) required, but I would like to reach consensus", then
I don't think I would have objected.

Sure, but I presumed the point of community/ogb/policies/ was to keep
people from having to wade through the discussion list archives looking
for guidance.  Am I wrong?
