Maybe, if there's a way to enable/disable advertising globally, as well as the per-interface control you ask about below; and perhaps an extra installer option to control at least the global state. Some installations will want to be maximally flexible (esp. mobile, many desktops, or those that directly serve them); others might want to volunteer zero information, or support for clients or use for themselves zero autoconfiguration, or both. Both positions may have practical reasons behind them; doing the right thing for both extremes should be possible while requiring the minimum possible setup. Only if someone wants finer-grained control should they need to know anything about the details. Sounds like there's an opportunity to coordinate with both installation and NWAM on how to do this in such a way as to Do The Right Thing as much as possible, while still providing consistent control of detailed behavior when desired. > How does one control on which interfaces one > advertises?
