Except for the fact that we don't ship such a thing today.

The VNC server that is included in the JDS consolidation and thus 
Solaris Express (and maybe some other distributions) is VINO and VINO 
runs as a child of the users gnome-session not from inetd.   Having that 
  advertised via mDNS might be interesting though.

Okay lest look at the services in a default Solaris Express install that 
are under inetd control and see if any of them are useful with mDNS.

The only ones I can see that might be interesting are the following:

ftp, print/rfc1179, telnet, *login*, *shell*, cde-calendar-manager.

I can't see any other inetd service that is actually that interesting to 
actively advertise.

Now given that telnet, rlogin, rsh are all undersireable to use and one 
should instead use ssh those can get dropped too.  sshd doesn't get 
started from inetd.

That doesn't to me leave us with a particularly interesting list.
