I am new to this group but I search before post and found nothing. I have smslib running in a Fedora 10 box, (looks nice), and when I connect the phone (an Sony Ericsson K850i), with dmesg command I can see:
cdc_acm 1-3:3.1: ttyACM0: USB ACM device cdc_acm 1-3:3.3: ttyACM1: USB ACM device cdc_wdm 1-3:3.7: cdc-wdm0: USB WDM device usb0: register 'cdc_ether' at usb-0000:00:1d.7-3, CDC Ethernet Device, xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx As you can see, there is 4 ports available, 2 serials (ACM), 1 unknown to me (WDM) and 1 ethernet emulation. The questions are: If i use the 2 serials port (see they are mapped to 2 different devices), configuring them as 2 gateways, can I get double send velocity?. (Think not but.....) What is WDM, irda?, bluetooth? The ethernet emulation, is some faster?, can I use in parallel? What is a faster configuration? Another question is, Can I use SMSlib in parallel with J2ME MIDlet?, SMSlib can generate the outgoing messages, and MIDlet can send the incoming to computer?. Someone has experience using J2ME with SMSlib?.
