Phil,

I know what you mean. I've got a couple of Buffalo drives, too and they've
been nothing but trouble. All except one of the LaCies are 'd2' drives and
are plugged in and connected on a permanent basis; only being turned off at
the end of a term. I wonder if that's got anything to do with them being
more stable? The other one is a 'portable' drive anyway which also seems to
be OK.

It does make you wonder why some people have problems and others appear to
have none (or few) - very frustrating.

Not much help, I know, if you're having problems; not meaning to rub salt
into the wound, either!

Good luck,
John

John,

Maybe it's just me that has the curse on LaCie drives. A colleague
recently came here to do some work on a project, brining all the
images on a LaCie drive. We plugged it in to my Mac turned it on
and...nothing. It had died.

Probably best your drives aren't connected when you read this email :)

Phil
