I have a LaCie external disk (160 gb - hardly used) which has been sitting in a drawer for about 2 years. Today I wanted to use it but it does not appear to be working : it does not show up on the desktop : I have tried connecting it with firewire and also USB. I have plugged it in and the red light is on but nothing else seems to be happening. Can inactivity kill these things? Or does it just need time to recharge?
