I am indeed open to offers for building this web site. I think my  
original message suggested this possibility.

As to what I do: I'm a travelling academic, involved with  
universities in the UK, Europe, the US and Australia. I don't use a  
spreadsheet to hold documents. I need a web site because I'm  
endlessly asked for one. It's not just for publications. There are  
many other things I'm involved in—I'm president of a US academic  
society, for instance. The reason I need to publish from a database  
is so as not to have to repeat making standard material, such as  
permissions to download, rights statements, titles (appearing in  
several places), publications details etc.

I hope that's enough to convince.

Of course, there's the fun side, too—and that's the bit I'd be happy  
to try to do, myself!
