Hi all knowing Mac users,
My iMac G5 2GHz with 1GB memory running 10.5.6 started to run slow
about a month ago. Since then it has become even slower, when I
wanted to download an item today from the iTunes store (it was 30.7MB)
it said it would be 4 hours! and after 10 mins. only a faint blue mark
was discernible right at the beginning of the download info panel---
it still said 4 hours.
I ran Maintenance 3.8 and the following info appears in the log that
does not have an OK after them.
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpLoad" has
been modified and will not be repaired
Warning: SUID file "usr/bin/setregion" has been modified and will not
be repaired
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/Install.framework/
Versions/A/Resources/runner" has been modified and will not be repaired
Warning: SUID file "System/Library/Printers/IOMs/LPRIOM.plugin/
Contents/MacOS/LPRIOMHelper" has been modified and will not be repaired
XML parser error:
Unexpected character 4 at line 1
Old-style plist parser error:
Unexpected ';' or '=' after key at line 2
Are these important? and can they be the cause of my slow running
internet connection.

PS> I ain't that computer savvy to understand what the maintenance log
is telling me!

Peter.
