I have no idea why, but Safari dock icon won't stay put! It has
behaved like this for some time, on and off. I have Mobile Me prefs
set to sync dock items, yet it doesn't happen on both of my computers.

I like it to be in the dock.

I like it to be up the left hand end, in between Mail and iTunes icons.

It keeps not appearing at start up of our G5 iMac running updated
Leopard. I use Spotlight to find it, then when it starts, drag it to
where i want it. As far as i can remember, that is how you firstly
make sure something stays in the doc and secondly how you make sure
it's icon is where you want it to be.

But after about 15 seconds, it just ups and moves to the right hand
side of the dock!

Quitting Safari results in a dematerialisation of icon.

I've tried speaking sternly to it, but it is like a recalcitrant cat
and does what it will.

Interestingly, its just my account, my wife's is fine.

Any bright ideas?

TIA

Russell
