Actually, I thought we had solved it. When I changed the font (as suggested, first, by Jason) some of the text immediately jumped back to where it should be and I was thrilled. But then some other chunks of text decided to jump in odd directions, so the problem is still there. I look forward to getting the trial version of Indesign as soon as I have my new (Intel) computer.
