Evening all
I'm trying to figure out an easy way of printing Word documents direct from
the file without having to go through the laborious process of double
clicking, cmd-P, return blahblah.

I had thought about using the File -> Print command, but for word files it
just seems to open a new blank document in Word and not print it.

I have tried dragging files to the printer icon, same effect.

Funnily enough, it all works fine for "native" file types such as pdf or
pages files.

I have even tried to get a simple automator action up and running but no
good unless the app (in this case Word) is already open in the back ground,
which sort of defeats the object of the exercise.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Russell
