Thanks Sam, I'll try that.

A Windows equivalent for what i'm trying to achieve would be a right-click
of a Word file.  The menu includes the option "Print".

I was surprised when I discovered a similar option is a bit more challenging
for non-native file types in Mac, though on reflection I'm not sure why I am
surprised.
