only, as the name suggests, if they are in the same family. So 
it makes the ideal wedding present!

Frankly, since they don't have a way of checking, it's almost 
(only) a courtesy issue (especially at this price.) Imagine if 
we had the same upgrade and authentication nightmares as 
Windows? Just that is surely enough incentive to cough up the extra...

I'm not getting it just yet as my college may do a bulk buy and 
get them for a tenner each. Apparently apple WILL do bulk sales 
and I'd be tempted to see about doing it for the user group -- 
except that, at this price, it's not worth the effort. But when 
10.8 comes around, I'll look into it.
