I had my Super Drive replace by a Sam and it was all straight forward. So would not be too expensive, plus yo know that it will be returned working. I could have done it myself but the expense was well worth the lack of anxiety that had I done it properly. > > 3) If it is feasible for me to do it what are the best drives at the > moment and where can I source one? Separate drives are better, because you have the option of backing up to a separate drive. My plan next is to upgrade the drive and have a matching external for time machine and even a third for cloning.
